Turnbuild Building (uk.co.turnbuild.buildform.domestic.line) is a planning and record-keeping aid for a house building site manager, published by TURNER CONSTRUCTION (SW) LTD. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when it is used on an Android device.

The app covers the plots on one site and the snags noted for each. It is designed to help a site manager walk the plots on a round, check the snag list against the work still open, and prepare the plots for handover. The core workflow runs on the device itself and does not require an account or a connection to a service operated by the company.

Information Stored on Your Device

The app keeps its records in its own storage on the Android device. Editing, rechecking and clearing those records all happen on the device, and the following items exist locally:

The settings, display preferences and interface state listed above are the app's own working state rather than the user's site records.

  • Plots, recorded with their site, house type, stage and target handover date
  • Snag sheets, with their trade, location, recheck date and the snag items each one holds
  • The app's own settings and display preferences, together with interface state such as the saved list order
  • Temporary files in the app's cache, such as the last shared text file until the next share replaces it and the last exported PDF file until the next export replaces it

Local Content and Developer-Side Collection

The plots, snag sheets and other records the site manager creates are local app content. They are not automatically transmitted to the developer as part of the core workflow, and the company does not receive them.

The app does not require personal identity information to be entered for its core workflow. Local content is whatever the user types into it, so it may contain personal information where the user chooses to record it. Solely because that content sits on the device, nothing about it is reported back to the company.

The company holds no server copy of the site records, keeps no account history for them, and cannot read them. What the user sees in the app is the same set of records held in the app's storage on that device.

Exporting and Sharing

The app can export and share a result, and each of those actions is started by the user and by no one else. Data remains on the device unless the user chooses to export, share or copy it.

A copy that has been exported, shared or copied is then handled by whichever app or service the user selects, and it remains wherever the user saves or sends it. Once a copy has left the application, its later handling is outside the app's control.

  • Exporting a result as a PDF file through the Android share sheet
  • Sharing a result as a plain-text file through the Android share sheet
  • Copying a result as text to the device clipboard

External Actions and Services

Some actions open external Android services when the user selects them, such as a browser, an email client or the Android share sheet. Those external services operate under their own privacy practices, and the company does not control what they do with information they handle.

Where a user writes to the company by email, the company receives the email address and whatever the message contains. That correspondence is separate from the site records the app keeps on the device, and it is answered with a reply to the address it came from.

Android Permissions

The app declares one Android permission: android.permission.INTERNET. It is declared by the framework the app is built with, and the app itself makes no network requests.

No other Android permissions are declared. No location tracking forms any part of the app.

What the App Does Not Include

The app does not include login or account registration. It does not include advertising, analytics or tracking, and it does not include payment processing, subscriptions or any other monetisation features. It does not include third-party service SDKs that receive app data.

Because there is no account, there is nothing for the user to sign in to, nothing to cancel and nothing to close.

Important Use Notice

The snag counts and other figures shown in the app are figures to be checked against the plots on site before any handover decision is taken. The app keeps the site manager's own plot and snag records for one site round, and those records are intended for the user's own practical use in the round.

The app does not replace a site inspection, and it does not decide whether a plot is ready for handover. Its figures and lists rest entirely on what the user has entered, so they are only as complete and as current as those entries.

Deleting Local Data

Individual plots and snag sheets can be removed in the app, and a control is provided that clears all local data at once. Deleting the app's local data also removes the temporary files held in the cache.

Local app data can likewise be removed through Android device settings or by uninstalling the application. Removing a record or clearing local data affects the copies held in the app on that device; a file the user has already exported, shared or copied elsewhere is not reached by those controls and must be deleted wherever it was saved.

Retention and Security

Local records remain on the device until the user deletes them, clears the app's local data or uninstalls the application. Exported and shared copies remain wherever the user has saved or sent them, for as long as the user keeps them there.

Reasonable measures are used to support the integrity of the application. Local app content stays in the application's own storage on the device and is not held on company servers. Users remain responsible for securing their own device and any exported copies of their records. No method of electronic storage or transmission can guarantee complete security.

Your Rights in the UK and EEA

Users in the UK or the EEA may have rights under applicable data protection legislation, including access, correction, deletion and restriction, where those rights apply under law. Whether a particular right is available depends on the circumstances and on whether personal data is processed.

Because the app's records are held on the device and are not automatically transmitted to the developer, locally stored content can usually be managed on the device itself, through the delete and clear controls in the app, through Android device settings, or by uninstalling the application.

Users who wish to raise a question about how the app handles information may contact the company using the details below.

Children's Privacy

The app is intended for users aged 13 and above and is not directed to children under 13. The company does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If information of that kind is identified, reasonable steps will be taken to delete it or otherwise address the situation.

The app is a working tool for site management, and it is not designed or presented for use by younger children.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be revised from time to time, for example when the app's features or the way it handles information change. When a revision is made, the revision date shown with this policy is updated.

The current version of this policy always describes how the app handles information at the time it is read, and the company may be contacted about it using the details below.
